Our eclectic approach solves immediate concerns while also addressing long term developmental goals of individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Our assessment process includes evaluating communication, social-emotional functioning and functional and adaptive behavior. Parent and caregiver input, observations, and direct testing are integrated to profile a child’s functional abilities and challenges, with home and school recommendations. We also offer behavioral consultations that include Functional behavioral assessment and Positive behavior support plans.
In-home Behavior Therapy
We develop and implement custom in-home programs using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and discrete trial therapy. Because Autism affects multiple levels of an individual’s functioning (including language, social, and adaptive skills) treatment needs to also target many areas. Children with Autism often require help in the areas of self-help skills, sensory issues, social skills, behavior management, academic training, language acquisition, and skill generalization. Services are provided by in-home behavior technicians with oversight and supervision by master and doctoral-level behavior consultants. Our intensive behavior program provides a customized program that addresses these areas.
Using the Developmental Individual Difference Relational (DIR) framework, our services incorporate parent-child interaction coaching, using the “Floor Time” model.
